Time after time theology fails as a moral guide, historical reference, or as a way of understanding the world but none of that makes any difference. When talking to any theist the only thing that matters is who is their god and why should I believe in it. If there isn't anything concrete in those answers there is nothing more to talk about.
Most of the time I get answers like god is love, or he is the god of the bible and I can assure you there there is no reason to believe those gods are real or true. In fact the god of the bible is the easiest to disprove.
However there has never been a compelling reason to believe in anyones god. Ever. So we are now at the point that there shouldn't be any more debates on whether or not god is good or evil of why it allows bad things to happen. Without a believable god to debate about the rest gust falls apart.
